For the past 17 years, Sunshines Catering has been involved in special events throughout the states of Maryland, Virginia, DC, Delaware and South Carolina. In Maryland, we have had the privilege of catering the air show at Patuxent River Naval Station featuring the world famous Blue Angels. We have also provided our services at the Chesapeake Blues Festival featuring James Brown, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Wilson Pickett, George Thorogood, Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Johnny Lang, Isaac Hayes, Night Hawks, Elvin Bishop, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Robert Cray Band. Maryland Special Olympics and the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park. In Southern Maryland, we have been well received on a repeat basis at The Blessing of the Fleet, the River Concert Series at St. Mary’s College in St. Mary’s County, and at the Riverside
WineFest at Sotterley Plantation. In Calvert County, we have had the opportunity of offering our
services at the Calvert Marine Museum Concerts featuring Willie Nelson, Chicago, Travis Tritt, James Brown, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Martina McBride, Little Feat, Smokey Robinson, Bonnie Rait, BB King, Waylon Jennings, Beach Boys, Montgomery Gentry, the Allman Brothers, Trace Adkins, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Big & Rich, ZZ Top, Sarah Evans, Gretchen Wilson, Styx, .38 Special, Steve Miller Band, Larry "The
Cable Guy", Joan Jett, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Bill Cosby, Kenny Loggins,
Josh Turner, Bill Engvall and The Dobbie Brothers. Additionally, we have enjoyed being a regular participant at Bike Week in Ocean City, Maryland and also Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina featuring Black Foot, Fog Hat and Lynard Skynard.
Our experience in Virginia includes, but is not limited to the East Coast Surfing Championship in Virginia Beach and the Tangier Music Fest featuring the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill and Vince Gill. We enjoyed being a vender at the John Kay and Steppin Wolfe concert in Suffolk County and at the Kenny Chesney concert in Nelson County.
We have also participated in Thunder Run in Centerville, Virginia featuring Bike Builders Kendall Johnson, Indian Larry’s Legacy, Hank Young , Perry Michael, Suicide Jack Chopper and Milwaukee Iron to name a few.
Each year we are honored to provide food services at the breathtaking Flower Mart at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. In addition, I have also served as food coordinator for 8 years for The Motorcycle Operation Santa Claus Toy Run (cooking an average of four (4) thousand pounds of beef each year). Fog Hat, Molly Hatchet and Marshall Tucker are among the performers.
We have also participated over that past several years at the annual Punkin Chunkin in Deleware with bands like the Charlie Daniel's Band and Jo Dee Messina.
